Pumps & Fluid Handling Sourcing

NTI supports project-based sourcing of pumps and related fluid-handling equipment. A pump is evaluated against the actual service rather than selected from a generic category description.

Define the Duty Before Comparing Equipment

Useful inputs include the fluid and its properties, operating and design conditions, required flow and pressure or head, materials, connection requirements, driver and electrical data, applicable standards, controls, documentation, and destination. Missing or conflicting inputs are treated as clarification points.

02

Equipment and Related Components

Requests may involve high-pressure or specialty pumps, process pumps, pump packages, drivers, seals, couplings, baseplates, instruments, valves, piping-related components, and spares. The applicable scope is confirmed from the buyer’s specification and supplier proposal.

03

Technical and Commercial Review Points

NTI can coordinate clarification of duty, materials, interfaces, included accessories, testing, documentation, delivery terms, and supplier exceptions. Final selection and technical acceptance require review by the buyer and the responsible technical parties.

04

Independent Evaluation of Alternatives

If an existing model or third-party brand is referenced, it is used to explain the requirement. A proposed alternative must be evaluated independently for duty, dimensions, interfaces, materials, controls, and required modifications. Brand reference does not establish origin, authorization, compatibility, or interchangeability.
